Multiple Pieces
Each piece in this multi-part composition begins with the 3 elements: 1. the solid, carved vertical; 2. the floating horizontal; and 3. the transitional skeleton. These elements define the conceptual framework which forms and assembles each piece in a way consistent with each program. Each specific function defines a different composition of the 3 basic elements.
The plan layout is developed to mark space within the room using the vertical, padouk elements as grounding elements. There is an attempt to balance the composition in terms of rich colored, vertical elements and the light, floating, textured horizontal
