Fabrication process
The piece of eucalyptus burl is very dense and high on the hardness scale making it difficult to carve using conventional tools. The 5 axis CNC router, although CAM intensive, cuts quite effectively with a carbide tipped 1/2" router bit. Surface finish should also be fairly smooth and should require only minimal sanding.
