Right:  well, you see  . . .

Below:  a little scale . . .

Right:  the end frames and bearing rail boxes are fab'd first and then mocked into place, leveled, squared, and whatever other kind of straightening we can possibly think of and set.

Far Right & Below:  The gantry at first mock up--it is realized here that the weight of the Y,Z,A, & C assemblies will create effectively a cantilever off of the gantry bearing blocks . . .

Right:  The fix for the cantilever stress on the bearings is to flip the lower part of the gantry uprights so that the center of gravity is effectively moved back toward the center of the front & rear bearing blocks of the gantry uprights.  Here you can see the cuts made just below the connection point for the horizontal trapezoidal truss of the gantry so that the lower portions can be flipped (swap left & right sides)

Right:  Here you can see the "flipped" lower gantry trussed uprights which re-sets the center of gravity for better stability.

Right:  after the cut, just prior to flipping the lower gantry uprights.

Far Right:  the lower part of the frame is now flipped and the center of gravity is altered to be more stable.

Right:  Rhino working Model with "flipped" gantry uprights.

Right:  The frames cut just before re-welding in flipped position.

Right:  Working Rhino model showing flipped gantry uprights.

Right:  The Gantry flipped--the Y carriage can be seen on the other side in this photo.

Right:  The gantry, flipped
